Ingredients

  • For the whipped dip base
  • 2 cups whole milk ricotta
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • For the toppings
  • 4 ounces smoked salmon chopped
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion
  • 1 tablespoon capers
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon everything bagel seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
  • For serving
  • Lemon wedges
  • Bagel crisps
  • Cucumber slices

Method

  1. Blend the base.
  2. Add the ricotta, softened cream cheese, lemon juice, and salt to a food processor. Blend until the mixture looks smooth, airy, and creamy.
  3. Spread onto a platter.
  4. Spoon the whipped cheese mixture onto a serving platter or shallow plate and spread it into an even layer.
  5. Add the smoked salmon.
  6. Scatter the chopped smoked salmon over the top so every scoop gets some of that smoky flavor.
  7. Layer on the bagel toppings.
  8. Sprinkle over the sliced red onion, capers, lemon zest, and everything bagel seasoning.
  9. Finish with herbs.
  10. Add the chopped fresh dill right before serving for a bright, fresh finish.
  11. Serve chilled or slightly softened.
  12. Serve with lemon wedges, bagel crisps, and cucumber slices. The source also notes you can let it sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes before serving so it softens slightly
